Allyssa Beatty Media Studies AS

Our goals of this project is to provide an interesting yet attention grabbing opening to a movie in which the audience will be engaged from the very start. Also with the opening being technically advanced to the best of our ability as well.

Some of the inspiration for the idea of the project came from some movies like Ocean's 8. In the movie it includes photographs to try and figure out the case that the girls in the movie planned. Another movie that inspired this idea is movies like James Bond as he is always trying to figure out cases by spying and the whole theme music behind it makes it as well. Another cool effect idea that I saw is how the lighting in a shot is darker with a cool shade hue like blue to it as well. This color and lighting allows for the scene to seem more mysterious.

Some photo and video angles that would be very beneficial to the project would be things like a closeup shot as well as feet shots and action shots. Action Shot Foot Shot Close Up

The roles each of us have in the making of this project is that Izzy is the producer along with being co-editor and our film person, Kennedy is head editor along with being an actor in the film, and I am an assistance producer along with an actor as well.

As I was looking for ideas to incorporate in the video parts that would start and then stop, I came across this scene from a movie and the effect they used in it, I think would be really cool to incorporate into the opening if possible. For our Media Studies AS project idea we thought it would be interesting and different to do a detective/undercover theme introduction. In this theme we would have a plot board like the one pictured here and then in each square you would zoom in using a spy glass possibly and see videos of the detectives or important events that would introduce the scenes for each of the events. For the clips introducing the detectives, it would say their name as we would keyframe the name in and out. While that is going on, the clip we are showing would freeze in an action shot of the detective as well and then unfreeze. This process would also repeat for the scenes that are being investigated. The focus would then go back out to the bulletin board and keep repeating the process of zooming in and out almost like you are trying to figure out a mission.

This is my Group! In my Group is (from left to right) Izzy (who is 17), Kennedy (who is also 17), and Me (allyssa).We have a great connection with each other and are able to work well together to get things done.We all can't wait to start this project as we already have so many ideas!

Hey there! My Name is Allyssa Beatty and I am 16 years old. I was born in Winter Haven, Florida and I Attend Winter Haven High School as a Junior. Some of my favorite activities include dancing, cheering, painting, and filming. Whenever I'm not doing any of these activities you can find me relaxing with my family. I am so excited to start working on this project and I can't wait to get started!
